All connect groups are free with no admission or membership fees.

For anyone who enjoys writing. Whether you are a published author, a poet, a clever wordsmith or someone who just enjoys putting pen to paper, come along and see what transpires.
SINGING FOR FUN
EVERY 1ST TUESDAY
AT 2:30 PM
Do you like singing? We play music videos, with lyrics shown on a large projector screen. Think of it as congregational karaoke! No singing voice is needed, just come and make a noise and have fun, followed by tea and cakes.
CREATIVE CRAFTS

At Monks Yard we love seeing peoples creativity. We are not just a 'Knit and Natter' group! Some of our talented folk are painters, cross-stitchers and we even have a painter of canal ware! Everybody welcome so come and join in with your very own craft!
PHOTOGRAPHY
EVERY 2ND TUESDAY
AT 7 PM
An opportunity for photographers of all skill levels to connect and learn from one another. Share photos, talk about photographic topics and more. All ages and learners are welcome.

Do you look after a family member or friend who is ill, elderly, disabled and needs extra help?
Come along and meet other people in a similar situation for a chat and support.

COFFEE MORNING

Our coffee morning connect group is for senior members of the local community. If you know of anyone who may be feeling a little isolated and might benefit from a cuppa and some company do bring them along to join us for this relaxed morning together.
LETTER FRIENDS
EVERY 4TH FRIDAY
AT 2 PM
Do you like writing letters the old-fashioned way, with a pen and paper? Our Letter Friends do too! We write to residents in care homes to brighten their day with a letter and to cancer patients whether they are in hospital or at home recovering from treatment.
It cheers them to know that a stranger cares about them and wishes them well.
WORKSHOP
& GARDEN
EVERY THURSDAY
AT 10:00 AM
Our woodworking workshop is run by a professional teacher and furniture maker. We work on community and personal projects together, making new friends along the way. We also have a community garden which we are developing. Please visit our Workshop page for more information.
COMBINED CONNECT GROUPS

Throughout the year we hold several combined connect group events on special occasions such as Christmas, Easter and Valentine's Day. This is a great opportunity for members of all the different connect groups to meet together.
